It means understanding what is being proposed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">How much electricity will the facility require? Where will the water come from? Who will pay for new substations, transmission lines, roads and emergency services? How many jobs will remain after construction ends? What tax incentives are being requested, and what protections will residents receive?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Department of Energy\u2019s Berkeley Lab projects that data centers could consume between 9.5% and 15.3% of United States electricity by 2030. That does not mean every project is harmful. It means every project deserves serious evaluation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">AI DATA CENTER EDUCATION\u2122 does not tell communities what to think.
